We are all very much aware that prolonged smoking increases the chances of suffering from a smoking related disease. There is very little doubt about smoking being the cause of unnecessary deaths. 5.5 million people per year die of smoking related diseases. Millions of people wish to give up but are trapped in the smoking habit as they are addicted to nicotine, which is usually inhaled through smoking tobacco products. The nicotine is harmless (in small doses, at least) but other substances such as Acetone, Cyanide, Aluminum, DDT/Dieldrin, Ammonia, Ethanol, Arsenic, Formaldehyde, Benzene, Hydrogen cyanide, Butane, Lead, Cadmium, Methanol, Carbon mono & dioxide, Tar, Chloroform and Vinyl chloride also enter the body via tobacco smoke inhalation.
There is, unfortunately, no simple and easy to way to stop smoking, but if one values ones health, it is advisable to definitely consider all possible options and methods. Smoking is known to cause respiratorial diseases such as lung cancer and other cancers such as cancer of the mouth, in addition because of clogged arteries there is also a substantial risk of heart disease. Many former smokers perceived the serious health risks involved with their smoking habits and sensibly sought help to stop smoking, in so doing they have secured a happier, healthier, more pleasant, more productive and longer life.
On the other hand, many current smokers became alarmed after realizing the serious consequences of smoking, and after searching for a smoking program that they thought would effectively help them to battle the smoking habit, they initiated the program and found themselves flat on their backs because something was missing.
Whether that something should have come from inside, or whether it was something extra that they could have added to their programs but did not, will never be known. One thing is known for sure though, some people need a backup plan or else they might crash and burn when going through the rougher stages of ending an addiction.
